Wisdom Wednesday: 3 Lessons From Building A Gym
I'm currently deep into the build of the Team Brock Ashby HQ/Gym/Podcast Studio.
I'm thinking of calling it The Team Brock Ashby Bodyquarters, instead of the Headquarters because of the obvious fact that I'm a "body" transformation coach. Reply to this email with what you think.
Today the rubber mats are getting installed (1.8 tonnes worth) and I'm installing 'some' gym equipment. There's still a lot more gym equipment and podcast equipment to install but there is progress being made nonetheless.
Let me tell you three things about building a gym:
It costs more than you think
It takes longer than you think
It is harder than you think.
The ironic thing is this is exactly what it looks like transforming your body:

Gym membership, healthy groceries, gym clothes, new shoes (maybe).It takes longer than you think.
As much as we want crazy transformations to happen overnight, you at least have to give it eight weeks!It is harder than you think.
Going to the gym when you can't be bothered, going to bed when you know you should, saying "no" to beers on a Friday arvo. Easier said than done.
By no means am I sending this to you to try to scare you out of transforming your body but more to motivate you into it.
Now you can't be blindsided into how hard it actually is and you can roll your sleeves up and get to work.
