Facts Friday: Injuries & Why You Have Nothing To Worry About

Getting injured is a huge fear of peoples.

Squashing themself with weights, doing an exercise wrong and popping something but here's the hard facts about injuries.

Pro bodybuilding: 0.24-1 injuries per 1,000 hours

Olympic weightlifting: 1-2.4 injuries per 1,000 hours

Powerlifting: 1-4.4 injuries per 1,000 hours

Crossfit: 3.2 injuries per 1,000 hours

Strongman: 4.5-6.1 injuries per year per 1000 hours

When you objectively look at it like this, there is no real danger in the gym.

If you trained as hard as a pro bodybuilder four times per week, you would get injured at a maximum rate of once per four years.

That is incredibly row and slow in comparison to other ways of training and also way lower than sports.

Lifting weights 3-5x per week at your gym, or at your home, is safe.

Much safer than not working out and being weak.

Think about that!
