Motivation Monday: Coaching Tips From A Parenting Book

This morning I learnt from Ryan Holiday in his book, 'Daily Dad', that parenting is very similar to coaching.

A parent should do anything but not everything.

This is the reason I don't provide meal plans.

You need to figure out what you want to eat.

And the answer is not, "What Brock wants me to eat". It's what makes you feel good at the end of the day and allows you to hit your calories and macros.

I could do it but I don't want to.

I will do 'anything' for my Team Brock Ashby members.

Adjust programs, adjust macros, go live for them, share my education... anything.

But I will never do 'everything' because that takes away form them learning or becoming better from figuring it out on their own.

You learn by doing, not being given things with no degree of effort.

How do you treat shoes that you get given vs shoes that you have paid for with your hard earned money? You're not wearing them in the rain, that's for sure.

So if you want a coach that babies you, I'm not your guy.

But if you want a coach that gives you everything you need but allows you to figure some things out on your own because it will make you a better person in the future, I'm your guy.

That's how I learn, by doing stuff on my own and figuring it out, and I know you probably do too.

Hit the button below to check out my programs and let me help you (but not too much).

P.s. I don't sit on my a$$ and do nothing lol. i still provide you with:
